My reading list
2024 was the year of the trilogy. Robin Hobb’s Farseer books (Assassin’s Apprentice, Royal Assassin, and Assassin’s Quest) landed back-to-back, and I finally gave Dune and Dune Messiah the attention they’d been demanding from my shelf for years. Abaddon’s Gate kept The Expanse moving, and Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Last Wish opened the door to the Witcher.
Non-fiction was a mixed bag: Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Sam Walton’s Made in America for a very different kind of empire story, and Gelong Thubten’s A Monk’s Guide to Happiness to balance it out. William Golding’s Lord of the Flies for some Sunday savagery.
11 books out of a target of 12. One shy of the goal, but the closest I’ve come.
