My reading list
2022 was the Wheel of Time deep-dive. I cleared six books (The Dragon Reborn through The Path of Daggers), which is either impressive or a warning sign depending on how you feel about doorstopper fantasy. Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson, Gaiman’s Sandman, and a quick stop on Arrakis for Dune Messiah kept the fantasy variety going.
The non-fiction leaned into companies: John Warrillow on how to sell one (Built to Sell), Duncan Clark on Jack Ma building Alibaba, and Marc Randolph on hatching Netflix in That Will Never Work. Sally Rooney’s Normal People and a couple of mysteries from Agatha Christie and Helene Tursten rounded things out.
18 books out of a target of 25. Still short, but a solid jump from last year.
